Introducing the 'CUD Safety Color Design Guide' with Hoban Construction
High-visibility design to prevent industrial accidents
Samhwa Paint Industry announced on July 22 that it will collaborate with Hoban Construction to develop a 'Color Universal Design (CUD) Safety Color Design Guide'.
The CUD Safety Color Design Guide is a customized color scheme designed to reduce accident rates at industrial and construction sites and ensure worker safety. With intuitive and highly visible design, this guide aims to prevent industrial accidents such as falls, being struck by objects, slips, electric shocks, and fires that can occur at industrial sites.
Samhwa Paint Industry has established safety standards related to accidents that commonly occur at construction sites, while maintaining Hoban Construction's brand identity. To enhance quality, the company collaborated with the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. Safety and health signage pictograms included in the guide are designed in multiple languages to accommodate workers of various nationalities, thereby minimizing safety blind spots caused by language barriers.
Lee Sanghee, head of the Samhwa Paint Industry Color Design Center, stated, "The CUD Safety Color Design is expected to become an important guide at construction sites, not only enhancing aesthetics but also protecting lives." Lee added, "We plan to continue collaborating with various industries to provide effective color solutions that improve worker safety."
