Features Multi-Step Aged Rice Cakes and Finely Ground Red Pepper Powder
On July 18, CJ CheilJedang announced the launch of 'Bibigo Rose Tteokbokki'.
'Bibigo Rose Tteokbokki' is a tteokbokki product that features Bibigo's signature secret sauce and a rich, creamy base, blended optimally to create a rose sauce favored by the MZ generation (Millennials and Generation Z). This shelf-stable product can be stored at room temperature and is available in two formats: pouch and cup. The pouch version can be prepared simply by cooking in a pan without any additional ingredients, while the cup version can be conveniently cooked in the microwave for about three minutes, allowing consumers to enjoy restaurant-quality rose tteokbokki at home.
This new product uses rice cakes that have undergone CJ CheilJedang's unique multi-step low-temperature aging process, which maximizes the chewy yet soft texture. Through this process, the rice cakes retain their moisture for a long time, preventing them from cracking or hardening over time.
To create a smooth sauce, the product uses finely ground red pepper powder made with particle size control technology. In addition, it incorporates TasteNRich, a proprietary plant-based natural fermentation ingredient developed by the company, to enhance the natural umami flavor of the original ingredients.
A CJ CheilJedang representative stated, "We expect a positive response to this product, as it allows consumers to conveniently enjoy rose tteokbokki, which is usually ordered for delivery, at home. We will continue to introduce a variety of products that reflect consumer feedback."
