The training program consists of six fields: autonomous driving, connected technology, mobility software, cybersecurity, smart cities, and smart mobility. It is targeted at employees of companies related to the upstream and downstream industries of autonomous driving within the regional innovation convergence complex.
In particular, customized programs can be established for each company through preliminary consulting. The organizations also plan to enhance convenience for participating companies and trainees through various methods, including real-time communication via newsletters and the YouTube channel (Sejong Regional Innovation TV), as well as on-site training.
Applications for the training can be found in the notices section on the Korea Industry Promotion Association website. Applicants can also apply in person at the Korea Industry Promotion Association Sejong Business Support Center, located in Jochiwon-eup, Sejong City, or by email.
Yang Hyunbong, Director of Sejong Technopark, stated, "Sejong City is evolving from a testbed for the autonomous driving industry into the center of the autonomous driving platform industry." He added, "Beyond technology demonstration, we aim for commercialization and ecosystem development, and through the regional innovation cluster development project, we will make Sejong a leading model for autonomous driving industry policy."
