"Ex-Husband Brutally Murders Flight Attendant, Suspecting Her as a 'VIP Call Girl'"

Tracked His Ex-Wife to Dubai for a Premeditated Crime
"Let Me Fight in the Ukraine War Instead of Facing Punishment"... Court Denies Request

A brutal murder occurred at a five-star hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where a flight attendant in her twenties was killed by her ex-husband. After committing the crime, the ex-husband fled to Russia, where he was later apprehended. He requested to join the war in Ukraine in an attempt to avoid criminal punishment, but the court rejected his request.

On December 27 (Korean time), foreign media outlets, citing local investigative authorities, reported that a 25-year-old Russian national flight attendant known as Anastasia was found dead in a guest room at the Voco Bonnington Hotel in Dubai last week.

The scene discovered by hotel staff was gruesome. The victim’s body showed at least 15 stab wounds to the neck, torso, and limbs. There were large amounts of bloodstains inside the room.

Police identified the victim’s ex-husband, Russian national Albert Morgan (41), as the prime suspect. Morgan fled Dubai for Russia immediately after the crime, but his identity was determined through analysis of the hotel’s CCTV footage and his escape route. He was arrested by local authorities as soon as he arrived at a Russian airport.

Investigations revealed that the two had been married for about two years before divorcing, but Morgan continued to stalk his ex-wife and displayed obsessive behavior. In particular, he reportedly suspected that Anastasia was working as a so-called “VIP call girl” for wealthy clients, which led to intense anger.

Police believe Morgan’s crime was premeditated. He tracked Anastasia’s work schedule, secretly followed her to Dubai, and entered the hotel where she was staying by posing as a guest. He then stole a robe from the hotel laundry, disguised himself as a staff member, and tricked the victim into opening her room door.

During police questioning, Morgan stated that he intended to humiliate her by pouring green paint on her face and cutting her hair with scissors. However, a physical struggle broke out in the room, and investigators determined that he ultimately used a weapon he had prepared to commit the murder.

Morgan also had a prior record of domestic violence and had served about seven years in prison for drug offenses. It was confirmed that he changed his name after being released in an attempt to assume a new identity.

After his arrest, Morgan told the Russian court that he wanted to volunteer for the war in Ukraine and requested exemption from punishment. In Russia, there have been cases where serious offenders have had their sentences suspended or been pardoned for joining the war, but the court rejected his request due to the cruelty and severity of the crime.
