Discussion on Key Issues in Collective Bargaining and Solutions for Resolving Labor-Management Conflicts
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education is holding the "2025 First Half Nationwide Meeting of Public Officials in Charge of Work at Metropolitan and Provincial Offices of Education" at the Mokpo Fontana Beach Tourist Hotel for two days, from June 12 to 13, to discuss ways to promote labor-management coexistence in educational settings across the country.
About 40 participants, including representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Korea Labor and Employment Education Institute, and public officials in charge of organizational affairs from the 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide, attended the meeting. They worked to strengthen cooperation among the offices and sought ways to facilitate smooth communication with public officials' organizations.

Participants shared their perspectives through various activities, including a special lecture by a professor from the Korea Labor and Employment Education Institute aimed at enhancing professional expertise, discussions on key issues and joint response strategies for collective bargaining with public officials' organizations, and debates on current issues specific to each office of education. In particular, the special lecture by the professor from the Korea Labor and Employment Education Institute, which focused on resolving complex labor-management conflicts in educational settings rationally in accordance with laws and principles, drew significant attention.
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education plans to use this meeting as an opportunity to foster close cooperation among educational offices nationwide, to proactively respond to the changing labor-management environment, and to continuously provide opportunities for communication to ensure stable educational administration.
Moon Taehong, Director of Policy, stated, "I hope that a culture of labor-management coexistence based on mutual respect and trust will extend beyond labor and management to bring happiness to the entire educational community."
