Goseong County in South Gyeongsang Province has partnered with the Goseong Geoje Tongyeong Agricultural Cooperative Rice Joint Business Corporation to officially launch and sell "Goseong Eagle Rice," a product that tells the story of eagle conservation efforts.

"Grateful Eagle" ... Goseong County Begins Full-Scale Sales of Goseong Eagle Rice Goseong Eagle Rice Officially on Sale.

Every winter, young eagles fly approximately 3,000 kilometers from Mongolia and stay in the rice fields of Goseong, where they grow under the warm protection of local residents before returning to their homeland in Mongolia in the spring.

The newly launched Goseong Eagle Rice embodies this moving story of interaction between nature and people.

The brand carries a symbolic meaning: just as the swallows in Korean folktales leave behind pumpkin seeds, the eagles protected in Goseong leave behind the eco-friendly image of the "Goseong Eagle Rice" brand. Furthermore, the brand aims to open export channels to the eagles' homeland of Mongolia.

Currently, Goseong Eagle Rice is available for purchase on the Dinosaur Land shopping mall, and starting on June 24, export agreements and promotional events are scheduled to take place in Mongolia.

This brand development and business initiative was carried out through collaboration between the Tourism Promotion Division and the Agricultural and Food Distribution Division of Goseong County.

The Tourism Promotion Division focused on protecting eagles and developing them as an ecotourism resource, while the Agricultural and Food Distribution Division planned and commercialized the "Goseong Eagle Rice" brand, which features a compelling story.

Separate packaging for domestic and export markets was produced to differentiate the product, and by appealing to "eagle lovers" in both Mongolia and Korea, the initiative is expected to contribute to increasing local agricultural income.

Along with this export drive, Goseong County also plans to sign an "Ecological Protection and Exchange Cooperation MOU" with the National University of Mongolia and the Mongolian Ornithological Society, aiming to expand and deepen eagle conservation activities internationally.

An official from the county stated, "In addition to Goseong Eagle Rice, we will continue to develop specialized agricultural brands utilizing local resources such as 'Dumbeong,' a nationally important agricultural heritage."
