Sejong City is gaining attention as a filming location for popular variety shows, dramas, and other broadcast and video productions. On June 11, the city served as the filming stage for the music program "Begin Again Open Mic," which aired on JTBC and YouTube channels to great popularity, drawing the broadcasting industry's interest to the city's beautiful scenery.

According to Sejong City on June 12, filming took place on two occasions at the Hangeul Love Sejong Book Culture Center, located within Sejong City Hall and symbolically representing the city's identity as a "Hangeul Culture City," as well as at Sejong Lake Park, which is the largest artificial lake in South Korea.

In particular, the well-organized urban structure and architectural works of art blend with nature-friendly spaces such as the lake park, Central Park, and the National Sejong Arboretum, providing a diverse visual experience that has been met with great enthusiasm.

In recent years, the city has also been chosen as the filming location for various broadcast programs, earning praise for its beauty as if the entire city were a "giant open set."

In 2023, the popular Netflix drama "The Glory" was filmed at Sejong Lake Park. In 2024, the tvN drama "Mom's Friend's Son" attracted viewers' attention by filming at Dwiungbak Village. Last year, the city invited members of the Korea Broadcasting Writers Association for a familiarization tour to explore major local attractions, showcasing Sejong's potential as a filming location.

Kim Ryeosu, Director of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, stated, "We will continue to promote the city's charm by attracting a variety of broadcast and video content productions and use this as a foundation to revitalize local tourism."
