During a televised political debate held at the MBC Sangam Media Center that day, Kim stated, "Candidate Lee Jaemyung is currently facing five trials, including violations of the Anti-Corruption Act, dissemination of false information, and the Ssangbangwool remittance to North Korea case." He emphasized, "Even if he becomes president, he must not delay the trials and should allow them to proceed."

Kim further criticized, "If Lee Jaemyung becomes president, he has said he would enact a law to suspend trials, amend the Public Official Election Act, and increase the number of Supreme Court justices to 30 or even 100."

In response, Lee Jaemyung argued, "These are groundless, fabricated indictments by the Yoon Sukyeol prosecution administration," and added, "Judicial procedures should follow the law, and the bills mentioned are still under discussion in the National Assembly, so you should not make definitive statements."
