The Ministry of National Defense announced on the 7th that it will hold the '2025 Military Personnel Employment Fair' at Hall 10 of KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, for two days until the 8th. As in the previous year, this year's fair will focus on on-site recruitment, targeting primarily junior officers and enlisted personnel scheduled to be discharged within the year.
Held under the slogan "Challenge for My Job+Tomorrow: Opening the Door to Employment," the fair is supported by a total of 21 organizations, including the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, the Presidential Security Service, the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises, the Korea Federation of SMEs, the Military Mutual Aid Association, the Korea Defense Industry Association, KB Kookmin Bank, and IBK Industrial Bank of Korea.

At this fair, the Ministry of National Defense will also pursue the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Federation of Mid-sized Enterprises to connect military personnel who have served the nation with outstanding companies, facilitating the stable transition of discharged personnel into society. Through this MOU, the Ministry of National Defense aims to strengthen policy efforts to foster a favorable employment environment for military personnel, especially junior officers and non-commissioned officers, by collaborating with mid-sized companies that attract their interest.
This year, for the first time, the fair will operate separate recruitment zones for short-term officers and enlisted military personnel. Programs for short-term officers will focus on on-site recruitment companies, while programs for young enlisted personnel will center on counseling and experiential activities.
On the day of the fair, companies with actual hiring needs for soon-to-be-discharged personnel will be given priority for participation, and on-site interviews will be conducted. After the event, the employment status of participants will be checked. In addition, a post-management center will provide ongoing consulting and employment information for short-term officers who remain unemployed after the fair.
Furthermore, a dedicated seminar space will be set up for short-term officers, including commissioned and non-commissioned officers, offering programs such as public sector briefings, company presentations, and on-site recruitment events specifically for officers.
The fair will also feature group mentoring sessions led by human resources managers from current companies and successful military veterans, as well as company recruitment presentations and special employment lectures in various fields?programs that have consistently received high satisfaction from military personnel.
Kim Sunho, Acting Minister of National Defense, stated, "We have prepared this employment fair with the intention of supporting the new beginnings of military personnel who have devoted themselves to the country. In particular, we have organized a variety of programs to support the employment of short-term service members. Through this fair, I hope that many discharged personnel will find customized jobs where they can fully demonstrate their abilities and passion, laying the foundation for talented individuals from the military to advance into companies and society."
