Special Lecture on "Standard Manuals"

The Department of Port Logistics Systems at Dongmyung University is strengthening its practice-oriented education based on industry-academia cooperation.
Dongmyung University (President Lee Sangcheon) announced on May 2 that, as part of the "Industry-Academia Convergence Lecture" series conducted by the Department of Port Logistics Systems (Head of Department Park Doojin), a special lecture will be held on May 7 in the afternoon, inviting a professional from a port logistics company.
This special lecture will be conducted by Kim Kitae, Deputy General Manager at Dongmyung Technology Co., Ltd. The topic is "Standard Manuals for Workplaces Required in Port Logistics Operations," and it will cover practical content such as case studies on vehicle management and inspection equipment, the importance of system organization and tidiness, exemplary cases of standard manuals, and the significance of utilizing project organizations. The lecture is intended for fourth-year students.
The Industry-Academia Convergence Lecture is a regular 3-credit course, and out of the 15 weeks of lectures, 9 to 10 weeks are taught by a faculty member specializing in the major, while the remaining 3 to 4 weeks are taught by industry experts.
Professor Park Hyosang of the department said, "This is a unique teaching method that incorporates the voices of the actual industry field into the curriculum," adding, "It is also having a very positive impact on Dongmyung University's high employment rate."
