On this day, Chief Ok initiated safety management measures to prevent marine accidents during the spring excursion season, when the movement of vessels such as fishing boats, chartered fishing vessels, and leisure boats increases at sea.

He visited the Busan New Port Vessel Traffic Service Center (VTS) to check the current status of maritime security and rescue response systems. He identified key safety management points and the status of vessel traffic control in the Gadeokdo area, which falls under his jurisdiction, and communicated with staff members.
He also visited the New Port Rescue Base Police Station to inspect the management and operation of major life-saving equipment and to assess the current status of maritime traffic, as well as the safety management of fishing vessels and multi-use vessels in the Busan New Port area.
In particular, he focused on verifying safety measures in the Busan New Port waters, where there is a high volume of large merchant ships and fishing vessels.
Chief Ok emphasized, "Proactive response and prevention are most important when it comes to marine accidents," and urged, "Please continue to pay close attention and always do your best to create a safe maritime environment."
