Presentation on "Trends and Evaluation of Basic Life Support Education"
Wecomet, a company operating healthcare solutions related to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), announced that it participated as a partner company in the '2025 Medical Simulation Center Consortium Regular Workshop' held at Yonsei University Clinical Skills Education Center on April 29.
At this Medical Simulation Center Consortium Workshop, medical staff from 11 hospitals and medical schools nationwide participated to share the latest trends and evaluation methods in CPR simulation education.
The event began with an opening address by Professor Jung Hyunsu, President of the Medical Simulation Center Consortium, and proceeded in the following order: trends and evaluation of basic life support education, trends and evaluation of advanced life support education, and discussion of the latest resuscitation education methods.
Wecomet, which delivered the lecture on 'Trends and Evaluation of Basic Life Support Education,' explained the trends in basic life support education focused on chest compressions, artificial respiration, and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs), emphasizing the importance of proper CPR methods and evaluation criteria.
Additionally, Wecomet introduced ways to help trainees independently practice CPR and AED usage through the 'Brayden Online' self-directed CPR learning system currently used at Severance Hospital, as well as methods to more effectively support basic life support education.
