Celltrion announced on the 11th that it will implement the 'Celltrion Incheon Local Business Revitalization Project' to activate the sluggish domestic market and realize the corporate value of mutual growth that revitalizes the local economy.
Celltrion provided consumption coupons usable at 107 small businesses, including restaurants and cafes operated by small business owners in the Incheon area where the company’s headquarters is located, to about 3,000 employees. The total value of the distributed coupons amounts to 600 million KRW.
Celltrion expects that employees using the coupons will be able to conveniently use nearby businesses and at the same time contribute to revitalizing the local commercial district, which has been shrinking due to reduced consumption.
In particular, Celltrion plans to settle accounts for the 107 businesses weekly to maximize cash flow for business owners, ensuring that this project becomes a more practical and tangible support activity for the local commercial district.
This project began as Celltrion Group Chairman Seo Jung-jin sought ways to overcome the sluggish domestic economy and invigorate the local economy. Chairman Seo viewed that in difficult internal and external environments, each worker fulfilling their role in their respective positions is the best solution to overcome the crisis, leading to the decision to promote this project.
As a leading company in the domestic bio industry that has led the corporate value of mutual growth, Celltrion expects that second and third companies will continue activities to revitalize the economy, thereby expanding positive influence.
A Celltrion representative said, "Going forward, Celltrion will continue to strive to practice the corporate value of mutual growth by growing together across the Korean industry, and will also continue the company’s development for this purpose."
