On the 29th, Hyosung Group held the first anniversary memorial service for Honorary Chairman Cho at the Hyosung headquarters auditorium in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Chairman Cho, in remembrance of his father, said, "Today’s Hyosung is the result of seizing the future with my father’s insight into changing times and his steel-like spirit of challenge." He added, "When my father passionately worked to improve Korea-Japan and Korea-US relations during his lifetime, he always emphasized that the three countries?Korea, the US, and Japan?should come together and share concerns. He said, 'We must become a company that can turn crises into opportunities.'"
He also conveyed, "My father admired China’s obsession with technology and the research passion of its 5 million engineering students graduating annually, predicting that it is only a matter of time before China surpasses our country and Japan."
Chairman Cho said, "Inheriting my father’s will, Hyosung will strive to become a company that prepares for the future, turns crises into opportunities, and moves swiftly in response to global affairs. We will build a century-old Hyosung that is as solid as a rock and can survive any crisis."
