Hwasun-gun Receives Minister of Health and Welfare Award for Outstanding National Cancer Management Program

Selected as an Excellent Institution at the National Cancer Control Project Best Practices Competition
Following the Top Prize at the Gwangju-Jeonnam Cancer Control Project Evaluation

Hwasun-gun Receives Minister of Health and Welfare Award for Outstanding National Cancer Management Program Hwasun County won the Excellence Award and received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at the "2024 National Cancer Management Project Best Practice Competition."

Hwasun-gun (Governor Koo Bokgyu) announced on the 25th that it was selected as an excellent institution at the '2024 National Cancer Control Project Best Practices Competition' hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award.


With this, Hwasun-gun has achieved the distinction of winning two awards in cancer control projects, following its receipt of the top prize at the '2024 Gwangju-Jeonnam Cancer Control Project Evaluation Competition'.


Hwasun-gun received high praise in the field of cancer prevention for its proactive efforts, including ▲ specialized training for staff to deliver accurate information and strengthen capabilities, and ▲ strengthening primary prevention through the operation of regionally specialized cancer control projects.


Park Mira, Director of Hwasun-gun Public Health Center, said, "I am pleased that our efforts to protect the health of residents from cancer have been recognized," and added, "We will continue to focus on cancer control projects and do our best to foster a culture of cancer prevention in the local community."
