University freshmen can usually interact with their peers and seniors in their department lounges during free time before and after classes. This lounge, located on the second floor of the Academic Information Center where the Central Library is situated, covers an area of approximately 80 pyeong. It is available to 896 freshmen in the Interdisciplinary Studies Department and 148 major exploration mentors, totaling 1,044 users.

Freshmen in the Interdisciplinary Studies Department can use this space, which is equipped with digital devices and seminar rooms, for studying, relaxing, and discussions. They can also receive ongoing mentoring from major exploration mentors and guidance professors.

Pukyong National University has established the Interdisciplinary Studies Guidance Center, dedicated to supporting these freshmen, and assigned a team of 148 current student mentors for major exploration and a total of 73 professors for each major as advisors.

Pukyong National University is opening the lounge for free use by freshmen in the Interdisciplinary Studies Department and is holding an opening event where visitors who participate in a survey will receive commemorative gifts to encourage active use.
