5% of Retail Price Donated
To Be Contributed to Samsung Seoul Hospital Pediatric and Adolescent Center
Simmons announced on the 19th that the 'Beautyrest 1925' has recorded sales of over 3,000 units in less than two years since its launch, surpassing a cumulative donation amount of 600 million KRW.
Launched in February 2023, the Beautyrest 1925 is a limited edition mattress released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Beautyrest. Each time a consumer purchases the product, 5% of the retail price is accumulated as a remodeling fund for the Pediatric and Adolescent Center at Samsung Seoul Hospital.
The remodeling of the Pediatric and Adolescent Center at Samsung Seoul Hospital is scheduled to be completed in May. The eight-story center will include medical spaces such as pediatric outpatient and inpatient wards, and a neonatal intensive care unit, as well as a central garden and a media center studio. The 2,400-pyeong (approximately 7,920 square meters) forest located on the north side of the building will also be renewed.
In 2020, when the domestic medical system was paralyzed due to the spread of COVID-19, Simmons donated 300 million KRW to Samsung Seoul Hospital for the treatment of children suffering from pediatric cancer and severe rare and intractable diseases. Since then, Simmons has provided 300 million KRW annually for treatment costs, with cumulative donations reaching 1.5 billion KRW as of last year.
A Simmons representative stated, "We will continue to take the lead in fulfilling social responsibilities in various fields."
