"I want to introduce Suwon City as a model of a ‘smart city’ to Serbian cities."
This was said by Nemanja Grbi?, the Ambassador of Serbia to Korea, who visited Suwon City.
On the 13th, Suwon City announced that Mayor Lee Jae-jun met with Ambassador Nemanja Grbi? in his office on the 12th to discuss cooperation plans. Mayor Lee had previously sent a New Year's card to Ambassador Grbi?, and the meeting was arranged after Ambassador Grbi? requested a visit to Suwon.

Ambassador Grbi? stated, "I know that Suwon City is a representative local government in Korea," and added, "I hope that Suwon and Serbia will actively cooperate in the fields of smart city and eco-friendly technology."
Mayor Lee Jae-jun expressed gratitude, saying, "I thank the ambassador for the good proposal," and requested, "Please visit the ‘2025 Suwon ITS Asia-Pacific Congress,’ which will introduce ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) technologies from Suwon, Korea, and Asia-Pacific countries, to be held at the Suwon Convention Center at the end of May."
He added, "Regarding eco-friendly technology, we will consider cooperation plans in areas such as solar power generation, rainwater storage, and sewage treatment technologies."
On the same day, Ambassador Grbi? toured the ‘Saebit Civil Service Center’ and other facilities under the guidance of Mayor Lee Jae-jun.
