Gwangyang Free Economic Zone Authority Restructures Environmental Technology Advisory Group to Strengthen Environmental Management Support

Reducing the Burden of Environmental Management
and Creating Eco-Friendly Industrial Complexes

Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Koo Chunggon, hereinafter referred to as Gwangyang FEZ Authority) announced that it has newly formed an Environmental Technology Advisory Group and will provide free environmental technology management consulting to local businesses starting in March.


The Environmental Technology Advisory Group consists of experts with extensive practical experience in environmental fields such as air, wastewater, and waste management. The group plans to offer high-quality, customized consulting to help companies address difficulties in environmental management.

The support targets are 88 facilities within the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone that emit environmental pollutants. Gwangyang FEZ Authority will actively promote the operation plan of the advisory group and accept applications for technical support at any time.


Main areas of support include: ▲Review of environmental laws for new investments and businesses changing industries ▲Analysis of emission facility operations and facility improvement consulting ▲Technical support for businesses subject to complaints and companies wishing to improve their environmental performance.


Koo Chunggon, Commissioner of Gwangyang FEZ Authority, stated, "We will spare no effort in providing practical technical support so that companies can effectively solve environmental issues," and added, "We will continue to promote various projects that enable the local community and companies to coexist for the creation of a pleasant living environment."
