Hanyang University ERICA announced on the 13th that it was selected as the 2025 Youth Social Service Project Group (Youth Project Group) by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, which held a public contest on the 20th of last month.

The Youth Project Group is a project aimed at ▲promoting youth social participation ▲strengthening social capabilities ▲improving the quality of life of local residents through youth-centered social services.

Universities (industry-academic cooperation foundations) and social welfare corporations selected as project groups support the participation of youth in local social services by composing more than 70% of the service providers with young people.

A total of 27 project groups, including 17 newly selected Youth Project Groups through this year's contest and 10 existing excellent project groups, will provide social services.

In particular, Hanyang University ERICA's "Gyeonggi ERICA Youth Social Service Project Group" will be the only youth project group active in the metropolitan area.

The ERICA Youth Project Group plans to provide physical health promotion services utilizing the on-campus sports infrastructure.

The service recipients are youth aged 19 to 34 in Ansan City (subject to change according to Gyeonggi-do ordinances). Recipients can use the service by receiving a voucher card issued at the Eup/Myeon/Dong community service centers, and applications are open from the 12th to the 19th.

Nam Sang-baek, head of the Hanyang University ERICA Youth Project Group, said, "We are pleased to be selected for this project, which realizes sustainable social welfare centered on youth, for two consecutive years," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that Hanyang University ERICA takes the lead in creating social value for the university."
