On the 4th, the Jeonnam Office of Education announced the '2025 Jeonnam Office of Education Local Government Employee Recruitment Examination Plan.'
The planned number of recruits is 234 people across 8 job categories. In the first recruitment exam (June 21), 162 for educational administration, 6 for IT, 10 for librarians, 1 for records research, 12 for cooking, and 26 for driving will be selected. In the second recruitment exam (November 1), 15 for facilities (architecture) and 2 for facilities (general civil engineering) will be recruited.
Additionally, 1 for facilities (architecture) and 2 for cooking will be separately recruited from graduates (or expected graduates) of specialized high schools and Meister high schools. There will also be separate recruitment for 17 persons with disabilities, 4 from low-income backgrounds, and 4 national merit recipients, expanding opportunities for socially disadvantaged groups to enter public service.
Starting this year, the written test subjects of Korean and English for the Grade 9 open competitive recruitment will shift from knowledge memorization to a focus on critical thinking assessment, and the test time for each subject will be extended by 5 minutes to 110 minutes.
The application period for the first recruitment exam is from the 14th to the 18th of next month. The written test will be held on June 21, and the final successful candidates will be announced on August 14. For the second recruitment exam, applications will be accepted from August 25 to 29, the written test will be held on November 1, and the final successful candidates will be announced on December 1.
