Expansion of Forest Wedding Venues in National Parks from 9 to 14
Wedding Photography Now Available at 44 National Park Locations
The number of 'forest wedding venues' held in national parks will increase from 9 to 14. The target audience will be expanded, and support for photography and transportation will also be enhanced.
On the 4th, the Ministry of Environment decided to add 5 more national park attractions as forest wedding venues. Until now, forest weddings have only been held at 9 ecological exploration centers. From now on, forest weddings will be possible at Naejangsan Maple Ecological Park, Woraksan Mansuro Nature Observation Trail, Deogyusan Deogyudae Campground, Palgongsan Gatbawi Native Plant Garden, and Gyeryongsan Ecological Exploration Center.
Forest weddings in national parks have been held a total of 133 times from 2021 through last year, targeting youth and multicultural groups. The Ministry of Environment explained that the number of venues was increased so that more citizens can enjoy the national parks.
Even those who only want to take wedding photos can use the national parks. Prospective couples can take 'forest wedding photos' at 44 locations including Bukhansan Fortress and Dobong Valley, Bigeumdo Heart Beach Observatory, and Gyeongju Namsan Samneung Forest.
Additionally, free shuttle bus service will be provided between the wedding venues and nearby subway or bus terminals. This measure was taken in response to feedback that guests find it inconvenient to use public transportation.
Applications and registrations will begin on the 5th through the Korea National Park Service website.
