In the women's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 3rd (local time), she received 2.31 points and rose an impressive 20 spots from 55th place last week. She claimed the top spot (20-under 268 strokes) at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions (total prize money $2 million), the first event of the 2025 LPGA Tour season, which concluded the previous day at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club (par 72, 6,624 yards) in Orlando, Florida, USA. It was a 'wire-to-wire' victory, maintaining the lead on the leaderboard for four consecutive days. This is her third career win, coming three months after the Lotte Championship last November, and she earned $300,000 (approximately 436 million KRW) in prize money.
Nelly Korda (USA), the runner-up of the Tournament of Champions, retained her position as number 1. She was followed by Lydia Ko (New Zealand), Lin Xiyu (China), Gino Titingan (Thailand), and Lilia Vu (USA). Among Koreans, Yoo Hae-ran holds the highest ranking at 7th place. Ko Jin-young jumped one spot to 11th, Yang Hee-young is 12th, Shin Ji-ae 26th, Kim Hyo-joo 28th, and Yoon Ina, who is debuting on the LPGA Tour this year, is ranked 29th.
