The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Chairman Han Sangwon) announced on the 20th that it recently held the '2024 Honam Region Miraenaeil Work Experience Best Practices Contest' and selected 21 works in four major categories.
The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been designated as the Honam Region Support Center for the Miraenaeil Work Experience program, and is carrying out projects such as promoting the work experience program, supporting 12 operating organizations in the Honam region, discovering participating companies, and providing design consulting.
This contest was planned to provide local unemployed youth with opportunities to gain hands-on job proficiency through work experience at regional workplaces, and to share and spread the Miraenaeil Work Experience program, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, to companies and youth in the Honam region.
This contest received 67 entries in four major categories: program operation, participant testimonials, participant videos, and project execution. Through the first document screening and the second presentation screening, 21 works were selected (4 grand prizes, 8 excellence awards, and 9 merit awards).
In the program operation category, Yoo Eunhye, Manager, and Han Chaeyeon, Deputy Manager, of the Korea Radio Promotion Association, an internship-type work experience organization, were awarded the grand prize with the theme "Giving Wings of Hope to the Future of Unemployed Youth!"
In the project execution category, the Eumseongannaehaejo Team (Jung Seungwoo, Kim Sangmin, Bang Inseong, Kim Jinseo, Kim Baegyun), who came up with the "Voice Guidance Fire Escape Device" idea, won the grand prize.
In addition, in the participant testimonial category, Jang Seoyoon, a trainee who participated in the internship-type work experience at the Korea Educational Broadcasting System (EBS), and in the participant video category, Jin Heejung, a trainee who participated in the promotional marketing project-type work experience at the National Asia Culture Center, each won the grand prize.
The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to hold the Miraenaeil Work Experience Achievement Promotion Event on the 7th of next month, where a total of 10 million KRW in prize money and certificates will be awarded to the contest winners, and the best practices will be shared.
Chae Hwaseok, Executive Vice Chairman, stated, "We held this contest to increase the interest of companies and youth in the Honam region in the Miraenaeil Work Experience program, which allows them to gain practical experience in the workplace in advance," and added, "We hope for active participation from many companies in the Honam region."
