Chonnam National University Hospital (Director: Jung Shin) announced on the 20th that its executives and staff members have consecutively received commendations from the Minister of Education.
Kim Kwangseok, Deputy Director of Public Affairs (Professor of Plastic Surgery), has served as Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and Deputy Director of Public Affairs. He improved the quality of medical services through the safe management of medical devices and contributed to establishing a public health safety network in the Honam region. In recognition of these achievements, he received the Minister of Education Commendation for his contributions to the operation and development of national university hospitals.
Choo Jeongnam, Head of the Central Support Division in the Nursing Department, received the Minister of Education Commendation for her contributions to staff education for training professionals in the central supply room, operating room, recovery room, and anesthesia management room, which contributed to the advancement of national education. In particular, Choo was recognized for preventing infections through efficient management of medical supplies and accurate sterilization training and execution, fostering a collaborative culture through positive communication with all departments, and making significant improvements to reduce the cost of medical supplies.
Oh Jungeun, an officer in the Planning and Budget Division, has prepared financial budgets for management performance reports since 2020. Since July 2022, he has been in charge of the overall hospital management evaluation, contributing to achieving first place for two consecutive years in 2021 and 2022, and an A grade in 2023, for which he received the Minister of Education Commendation for his contributions to innovative administrative work.
Oh is responsible for overseeing management performance evaluations and planning and promoting the overall management performance evaluation of other public institutions under the Ministry of Education. He was highly praised for his efforts to improve the completeness of the management performance report, including reviewing it six times over about two months for each key business indicator before final submission.
