2024 Evaluation Results: Average Project Grade A
Ulsan City achieved excellent results in the evaluation of the 2024 Regional and Industry Customized Job Creation Support Project, hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
This project is operated through a public contest by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, where local governments discover and promote job projects tailored to the characteristics and circumstances of their regions.
The evaluation is conducted annually by the Korea Employment Information Service, comparing job projects by local governments. The evaluation grades are divided into five levels: S-A-B-C-D, which serve as important indicators for determining national subsidies granted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
The city recorded an average grade of A across projects in this evaluation, achieving excellent results. In particular, the Tomorrow Filling Deduction Project and the Skilled Retiree Reemployment Support Fund Project received S grades, highly recognizing the performance of these projects.
Additionally, to overcome manpower supply difficulties caused by low wages and high-intensity issues in the shipbuilding employment market, Ulsan City has implemented the Employee Hope Deduction Project and the Shipbuilding Industry Specialized Regional Plus Job Project since 2023.
As a result, as of September 2024, the number of insured persons increased by 8.1% compared to the previous year, and the number of vacant jobs decreased by 28.9% compared to the same month of the previous year.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “We will do our best to create sustainable jobs and resolve the region’s vacant job issues, and we will also make every effort to secure national subsidies.”
