Support Policies for National Merit Recipients ... Now Seen at a Glance
Gumi City Publishes Guidebook for National Merit Recipient Support Programs
Gumi City in Gyeongbuk Province has published the "2025 National Merit Support Project Guidebook" to enhance the honor and support for national merit recipients.
This guidebook was published to help national merit recipients and their families easily understand and utilize the available support benefits.
Until now, there was no informational material on support projects for national merit recipients, making it difficult to receive benefits. To address this, the city compiled a systematic guidebook covering support projects and preferential benefits from all departments.
The book includes various information such as △allowances related to veterans △operation details of the Daegu Veterans Office mobile support team △status of entrusted hospitals in the area △status of veterans organizations, among others. In particular, it is expected to provide practical help by detailing frequently asked questions from national merit recipients.
Gumi City plans to send the guidebook in bulk to national merit recipients in the area and post it on the city hall website and the Gumi City e-Independence Movement Memorial Hall, allowing anyone to easily access the materials.
Mayor Kim Jang-ho stated, “With the publication of this guidebook, we expect national merit recipients and their families to enjoy support benefits more conveniently,” and emphasized, “We will continue to expand various honors and support policies for those who have devoted themselves to the nation.”
