This contest is an extracurricular program designed to nurture students into business talents equipped with practical skills (such as autonomy, cooperation, initiative, creativity, etc.) by understanding the corporate field amid rapid environmental changes and conducting interviews with industry practitioners.

About 100 participating students autonomously formed teams of 4 to 5 members, proactively searched for and selected companies and practitioners to interview, and creatively presented club activity improvement plans, extracurricular activity enhancements, and new proposals that align with the talent requirements of the companies.

The presentation contest, held on the 6th at the Seongseok-dong lecture hall of the Business School at Dong-A University Bumin Campus, involved judging 9 teams that passed the first round out of a total of 18 teams. The judging panel included Professor Noh Young-jin from the Department of International Trade, Professor Park Sung-bin from the Department of Tourism Management, and Professor Park Hee-tae from the Department of Business Administration.

Based on a comprehensive evaluation of ‘alignment with purpose,’ ‘initiative and effort in participation,’ ‘originality and creativity,’ and ‘practicality and feasibility,’ one grand prize team, one excellence award team, and two encouragement award teams were selected.

Professor Park Hee-tae, who planned this program, said, “I sincerely thank all the corporate practitioners who responded to the students’ company visits and interviews despite their busy schedules, the school officials who supported the extracurricular program, and the professors who served as judges. We will continue to strive to strengthen students’ practical skills.”

Park Chang-su, team leader of the ‘OMniverse’ team, which won the grand prize, said, “Through this contest, visiting companies and interviewing practitioners helped me understand what competencies are needed to become the kind of business talent practitioners envision, which greatly helped me grow. I will work hard to develop my skills and grow into a business talent suited for the practical field.”
