Ulju-gun, Certified as an Excellent Institution in the 29th Korea Local Autonomy Competitiveness Competition

Ranked 2nd Overall This Year Among All Military Units Nationwide

Ulsan Ulju-gun announced on the 9th that it received a certification as an excellent institution in the ‘29th Korea Local Autonomy Competitiveness Index’ evaluation conducted by the Korea Institute of Public Administration.

On the same day, Ulju-gun received the ‘29th Korea Local Autonomy Competitiveness Excellent Institution’ certificate from the Korea Institute of Public Administration at the Deputy Governor’s office in the county office.

Previously, the Korea Institute of Public Administration investigated and analyzed the local autonomy competitiveness index of local governments nationwide based on statistical yearbooks by local governments and official statistical data from related ministries.

In this survey, Ulju-gun was recognized for its outstanding performance in the local autonomy competitiveness evaluation, ranking 2nd overall among county-level local governments nationwide with a total score of 544.6 points this year. This is a significant rise from last year’s 10th place with a score of 499.5 points in the local autonomy competitiveness index.

In particular, Ulju-gun ranked 1st in management resources, proving its strategic resource utilization capability, and demonstrated high competitiveness in various fields such as 9th in management activities and 18th in management performance. Ulju-gun self-assessed that these achievements were made possible through efficient management of local resources and continuous administrative improvements.

An official from Ulju-gun stated, “This award is the result of the united efforts of Ulju-gun residents and public officials for regional development,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to improve the quality of life for residents and strengthen regional competitiveness through ongoing administrative innovation.”
