Located Behind Achasan Forest Library... Chairs, Stands, and Bean Bags Placed Along the Walking Trail
Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has created the ‘Achasan Forest Book Yard,’ where visitors can enjoy reading and relaxation amidst natural scenery.
The 140㎡ ‘Achasan Forest Book Yard (5-127 Gwangjang-dong)’ offers a unique experience of reading surrounded by lush green trees. When you step outside to the second-floor outdoor area of the ‘Achasan Forest Library,’ a book yard embracing the natural landscape unfolds.
This was established based on the results of the ‘Achasan Forest Library Satisfaction Survey’ conducted earlier this year. In response to residents’ feedback that there were not enough seats compared to the number of users, additional reading spaces were installed. It provides opportunities for not only reading but also comfortable rest along the walking trails.
The facilities include various conveniences such as chairs and reading tables. A distinctive feature is the placement of standing desks in a location facing nature to enhance the sense of openness. Soft bean bags in warm colors are placed throughout to allow visitors to rest comfortably. Anyone visiting Achasan can use the space free of charge.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “This is a special opportunity to enjoy a leisurely reading experience in Achasan Forest, a representative attraction of Gwangjin-gu,” and added, “I hope everyone takes peaceful rest with the natural scenery on clear autumn days perfect for reading.”
