On the clear autumn day of the 11th, Kim Dong-geun, Mayor of Uijeongbu City, held the internal communication initiative 'Cafe Mujigae' and expressed gratitude and encouragement to the 'Praise Recipients of the Month' selected by citizens.
Uijeongbu City announced on the 14th that nine employees participated in this meeting held at a local cafe, who had been selected as the Praise Recipients of the Month more than twice or were recommended based on specific stories related to proactive administration.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun encouraged the employees who took the lead for the citizens and took time to express appreciation for their hard work on behalf of the citizens. He also listened to honest opinions about the difficulties experienced on-site and decided to actively consider solutions.
One employee who participated in the event said, "It was very meaningful to have sincere conversations with the mayor through this opportunity, and I felt a sense of fulfillment in my work."
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "We will improve the difficulties faced by our city’s employees, especially those providing frontline civil service," adding, "We will continue to hold open dialogue sessions to create a better working environment for our employees."
The city is leading efforts to improve organizational culture by introducing various attempts, including new operational methods, through the third season of Cafe Mujigae. In November, they plan to hold another session with employees who were selected as the Praise Recipients of the Month.
