‘Seocho Sarang Large Mart Special Discount Sale’ on the 24th at ‘GoToMall’

Seocho-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeon Seong-su) announced on the 19th that it will hold the ‘Seocho Love Large Mart Special Discount Sale’ on the 24th at the underground pedestrian passage in front of Exit G2 of Gotomall (Express Bus Terminal Station underground shopping mall).

Planned as a resident appreciation event for May, the month of family, this special discount sale is a collaboration between the district and large marts in the area to offer various products at discounted prices. The purpose is to revive consumer sentiment, which has been weakened by recent continuous price increases, and to invigorate the local distribution industry.

The event, held from 3:30 PM to 7 PM, will feature participation from ▲Nonghyup Hanaro Mart Banpo Branch ▲Lotte Mart Seocho Branch ▲E-Mart Yangjae Branch ▲Kim’s Club Gangnam Branch, operating a total of 12 booths. Seasonal fruits such as watermelon and oriental melon, as well as daily necessities like toilet paper, detergent, and ramen, will be sold at prices lower than those at the marts. The event will end early once all prepared products are sold out. Customers who purchase above a certain amount will also receive gifts such as shopping bags and wet tissues.

Cultural performances will also take place around the event venue. From 4 PM to 5:30 PM, young artists will present pop-up performances in the open space in front of Gotomall Exit G2. The program includes ‘Bubble Dragon’s’ fun and bubble show combining bubble performances and music, ‘Jin’s’ exciting performance blending new age and jazz centered on the cello, and a jazz concert by ‘Ash,’ who appeared on JTBC’s ‘Sing Again 2.’

District Mayor Jeon Seong-su said, “With this special discount sale in the month of family, I hope it will provide some support to residents who are afraid of shopping amid high prices,” adding, “We will continue to strive to improve administrative satisfaction in areas closely related to residents’ lives.”
