By investor type, foreigners and institutions net bought 472.4 billion KRW and 68.5 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, individuals net sold 561.1 billion KRW.
By sector, insurance, securities, and precision medical equipment rose more than 2%. Additionally, electrical and electronics jumped 1.18%, and machinery, manufacturing, transportation and warehousing, and telecommunications also increased. Conversely, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, paper and wood, and textiles and apparel declined slightly.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics closed at 76,700 KRW, up 400 KRW (0.52%) from the previous trading day. KB Financial Group and Shinhan Financial Group rose 9.67% and 7.47%, respectively, while SK Hynix also increased by 4.22%. Kia rose 1.37%. On the other hand, Samsung Biologics and Samsung SDI fell more than 1%.
On this day, a total of 461 stocks rose on the KOSPI, including Daewon Cable and Daewon Cable Preferred, which hit the upper price limit. Meanwhile, 409 stocks declined without hitting the lower price limit, and 61 stocks remained unchanged.
The KOSDAQ closed at 856.82, up 3.56 points (0.42%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals and institutions net bought 80.2 billion KRW and 26.1 billion KRW, respectively. Foreigners net sold 99.8 billion KRW.
By sector, internet and semiconductors rose 5.79% and 2.35%, respectively. Computer services, broadcasting services, and general electrical and electronics also rose more than 1%. Conversely, finance fell 1.22%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, EcoPro BM closed at 236,000 KRW, up 2,000 KRW (0.85%) from the previous trading day. EO Technics rose 5.04%, and Samchundang Pharmaceutical increased 1.81%. Meanwhile, HPSP fell 3.97%, and EcoPro and Ligachem Bio declined more than 1%.
On this day, a total of 737 stocks rose on the KOSDAQ, including Sunic Systems, which hit the upper price limit. Meanwhile, 778 stocks declined without hitting the lower price limit, and 110 stocks remained unchanged.
