Samsung Electro-Mechanics Holds 'Win-Win Cooperation Day'... Awards 5 Outstanding Partners

Offline Communication Meeting with Partners Held for the First Time in 4 Years

Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced on the 28th that it held the '2024 Win-Win Cooperation Day' with member companies of the Partner Company Council (Hyeopbuhoe) at the Ramada Hotel in Suwon on the 27th.

Win-Win Cooperation Day is an event where Samsung Electro-Mechanics and its partners pledge mutual growth and coexistence. It was organized to award partner companies that achieved excellent results over the past year and to facilitate communication among them. The 'Win-Win Cooperation Day,' which had been held online for the past three years, was conducted as an in-person event this year. About 130 people, including Samsung Electro-Mechanics President Jang Deok-hyun, executives, and partner company representatives, attended the event.

At the event, Samsung Electro-Mechanics awarded five partner companies that achieved outstanding results last year through innovative activities in five categories: productivity, technology development, special, quality, and compliance.

Toray Advanced Materials, which participates in the development of Samsung Electro-Mechanics' MLCC, won the productivity award by improving costs and productivity through the optimal operation of the MLCC raw material logistics system. AtoTech Korea, a material manufacturer used in the plating process and a partner company specializing in package substrates, was selected as an excellent company in the quality category for its stable quality management process. MK Electron received the highest scores in labor rights, including wage system and working hours compliance, as well as in safety and environment, winning the compliance management category award.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics also held a fair trade agreement ceremony with first- and second-tier partner companies to prevent unfair trade practices.

President Jang Deok-hyun said, "In 2024, amid ongoing global economic uncertainties, opportunities and crises will coexist. To overcome difficulties and achieve further growth, it is essential to secure differentiated core technologies and produce competitive products."

He added, "This is impossible by the strength of any single company alone. Samsung Electro-Mechanics and all partner companies must unite as one to secure global competitiveness. Samsung Electro-Mechanics will strengthen support and efforts so that partner companies can become stronger and more resilient."

Samsung Electro-Mechanics trades with about 270 domestic partner companies out of a total of approximately 400 partners both domestically and internationally, ranging from companies with annual sales in the 1 billion KRW range to those in the 1 trillion KRW range. Among them, 37 major domestic parts companies are registered as members of the 'Hyeopbuhoe.' The Hyeopbuhoe was established in 1986, and the 'Bu' in Hyeopbuhoe uses the first character of the word 'bupum' (parts), symbolically representing Korea's leading electronic parts companies.
