As an expert who has led the creation of the blockchain ecosystem, the city expects that Chairman Kim’s abundant expertise and solid personal network will play a significant role in revitalizing the Busan Blockchain Regulatory Sandbox Special Zone.
In particular, during this meeting, it was agreed to form subcommittees by sector for effective operation of the Operation Committee and that active meetings combining both online and offline formats are necessary.
Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Kim Gwang-hoe stated, “Based on the newly launched Operation Committee, we will continuously discover promising business areas that require regulatory relief and services that need to incorporate blockchain technology. Our city will do its utmost to ensure that the projects discovered in this way are selected as new projects for the blockchain regulatory sandbox special zone and that the special zone status is maintained.”
