Golf Club Membership Prices on the Rise Ahead of Spring Season

According to the Dong-A Membership Trading Center on the 10th, the average price of 100 major memberships traded nationwide is 255.14 million KRW. This is a 0.47% increase compared to last week. By price range, the ultra-high price segment rose 0.21%, high price segment 0.82%, mid-price segment 0.56%, and low price segment 0.49%. The Dong-A Membership Trading Center stated, "There is a steady inflow of buying demand from individuals and corporations. For some items, it is not easy to find listings," and predicted, "Due to the overall shortage of listings, a firm and slightly rising trend is expected to continue for the time being."


The average price in the central region jumped 0.41% from last week to 289.51 million KRW. The Yongin golf 8-school district items are leading the buying demand inflow and the rise in asking prices. Giheung increased by 2.19%, New Seoul by 1.06%, Nam Seoul by 1.41%, Shinwon by 3.33%, and Rexfield by 0.91%. The northern Seoul area, including Seoul and Hanyang, also continues to show strength. In particular, Seoul saw a sharp rise in asking prices, soaring significantly. Seoul rose 4.42%, and Hanyang increased by 0.68%. Team leader Park Cheon-ju said, "The central region membership market continues to receive buying inquiries in preparation for the season. A firm and slightly rising trend is expected to persist for the time being."


The average price in the southern region is 166.19 million KRW, up 0.72% from last week. Gaya rose 1.12%, Bugok 1.49%, Tongdo 1.19%, and Yongwon 1.15%. Busan, which had been quiet for a while, saw accumulated buying orders and rose 1.35%. Changwon jumped 2.86% amid difficulty finding listings. Haeundae also rose 1.75% without any transactions due to the disappearance of listings. Team leader Lee Yoon-hee predicted, "The southern region membership market is showing an increasing trend in buying inquiries in preparation for the spring season. It is expected to show a firm and slightly rising market."
