The season will run for about seven months, starting with the opening event, the 19th DB Insurance Promy Open (total prize money of 700 million KRW), held on April 11 at La Vie Belle Country Club in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, and concluding with the final tournament, the Jeju KPGA Tour Championship, on November 10.
The number of tournaments remains the same as last season at 22. The current total prize money stands at 18.15 billion KRW. If the prize money for four tournaments? the 43rd GS Caltex Maekyung Open, the Kolon 67th Korea Open, the Genesis Championship, and new tournaments? which have not yet been finalized, are added, the total could exceed 25 billion KRW. The previous record for the largest total prize money was 23.7 billion KRW in the 2023 season.
Seven new tournaments will be introduced this year, including the KPGA Founders Cup, Webcash Group-Wonder Club Open, and the Dong-A Socio Group Charity Open (tentative name). The tournament with the largest prize money is the 67th KPGA Championship, which has increased by 100 million KRW from last year to 1.6 billion KRW. The minimum total prize money for KPGA Tour events has risen from 500 million KRW last year to 700 million KRW. There are four co-hosted tournaments with foreign tours. Chairman Kim expressed, "There are still discussions underway for new tournaments to be held," and added, "I would like to thank everyone who has helped make this a rich and fulfilling season."
