The Jeonnam Regional Post Office has completed seismic reinforcement work on five post offices.
The Jeonnam Regional Post Office announced on the 29th that it has completed reinforcement work on five post offices: Mokpo Changpyeong-dong Post Office, Yongmyeon Post Office, Damyang Daedeok Post Office, Gwaryeok Post Office, and Dohwa Post Office.
These post office buildings have been in use for more than 18 years since their completion, and earlier this year, a seismic performance evaluation revealed insufficient seismic performance, highlighting the need for repairs and reinforcement.
Kim Gil-seok, Acting Director of the Jeonnam Regional Post Office, stated, “We will create safe and convenient post offices that meet the expectations of local residents, faithfully fulfilling the role of a community financial institution responsible for revitalizing the local economy by opening sales channels for farm income and protecting the assets and health of local residents.”
