The position of president at Gyeongnam Provincial Namhae College, which had been vacant since May 1 following the mid-term resignation of the previous president, has been filled.
Governor Park Wan-su appointed Noh Young-sik, Director of the Provincial Economic and Enterprise Bureau, as the 9th president of Namhae Provincial College on the 22nd.

According to Gyeongnam Province, the newly appointed President Noh was born in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, and began his public service career at the Gyeongnam Provincial Office in July 1991 as a level 7 public official. He has served as head of the Personnel Division, Public Relations Officer, Deputy County Governor of Namhae County, Director of the Environment and Forestry Bureau, Director of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and Director of the Economic and Enterprise Bureau of Gyeongnam Province.
He was appointed after consultation with the Local Education Officials Personnel Committee in accordance with relevant laws and procedures for educational public officials, and will assume the presidency starting January 2, 2024.
President Noh stated, “I will demonstrate transparent and rational leadership to guide collective intelligence, establish a clear performance system, and uphold strict public ethics,” adding, “I will prepare a comprehensive university structural reform plan regarding academic affairs and department operations.”
