KT announced on the 29th that it will significantly enhance convenience features using AI (artificial intelligence) technology in the commercial vehicle connected car solution ‘XENLINK,’ launched in collaboration with Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle. Following the launch of a dedicated AI voicebot for commercial vehicles and an automatic driving record submission service in April last year, KT has advanced the remote vehicle quality management solution ‘Tata Daewoo VRM (Vehicle Relationship Management),’ a differentiated service of ‘XENLINK.’

The AI voicebot introduced in XENLINK assists with simple tasks such as AS reception and provides advance notifications for warranty periods and consumable replacement cycles. It is also used for service satisfaction surveys. Through the voicebot, customer consultation time is reduced, and necessary information can be provided promptly. KT applied its AICC technology to this voicebot.
A new ‘automatic driving record submission service’ is also offered for operators required to submit digital tachograph (DTG) records. This prevents fines due to delayed submissions and eliminates the inconvenience of drivers having to download and upload data themselves. XENLINK subscribers who wish to use the automated driving record submission function only need to provide customer consent to use the service.
KT has also strengthened the existing remote vehicle quality management solution, Tata Daewoo VRM. This solution uses AI technology to analyze vehicle-collected data to trace the causes of quality issues, recommend preemptive part repairs, or derive improvement items.
Choi Kang-rim, Executive Director of KT AI Mobility Business Division, said, “Our goal is to lead the digital transformation of the commercial vehicle market by utilizing technologies possessed by the KT Group, such as AI and big data,” adding, “We will diversify services to improve manufacturers’ R&D and service efficiency and ultimately enhance the safety and convenience of vehicle users, our end customers.”
