The social contribution platform "Happy Alliance," based in Yongin and composed of 31 member companies including SK Hynix, delivered 200 boxes of Happy Packages containing daily necessities to Yongin City for low-income children in the area.
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The social contribution network 'Happiness Alliance' recently sponsored 200 Happiness Boxes containing daily necessities for low-income children at risk of food insecurity in the Yongin area of Gyeonggi Province.
The Happiness Boxes were composed of items worth 200,000 to 300,000 KRW, including vitamins, snacks, hygiene products, and blankets necessary for daily life. In particular, the contents were tailored with different items considering the children's gender and age.
The items inside the boxes were provided through sponsorship from 31 member companies participating in the Happiness Alliance's social contribution activities, including SK Hynix.
The sponsored Happiness Boxes will be delivered this month to 200 children at risk of food insecurity recommended by 38 towns, townships, and neighborhoods.
Last year, the Happiness Alliance also sponsored 100 Happiness Boxes for low-income children at risk of food insecurity in the Yongin area.
A Yongin city official stated, "Following last year, we have sponsored Happiness Boxes again this year for low-income children at risk of food insecurity in the city," adding, "We expect this to greatly help marginalized children spend a warm and happy winter."
