[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Samyang Foods announced on the 24th that President Kim Jeong-su participated in the 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge.'
President Kim Jeong-su joined the challenge upon the nomination of Han Seong-hee, CEO of POSCO Construction.
The 'Children's Traffic Safety Relay Challenge' is a campaign promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety since December last year. It aims to raise awareness about traffic accidents occurring in school zones and to establish a traffic safety culture that prioritizes child protection through a relay format.
President Kim Jeong-su participated in the challenge at Samyang Foods headquarters, holding a placard with the campaign slogans: 'Stop at 1 step,' 'Look both ways,' 'Wait for 3 seconds,' and 'Prevent 4 dangers.' These slogans emphasize caution for both children and drivers to prevent frequent 'crossing accidents' among children's traffic accidents.
He nominated Lee Yang-ho, Chief of Jongam Police Station, and Kwon Won-sik, Chairman of the Wonju Regional Council for Juvenile Crime Prevention under the Ministry of Justice, as the next participants.
President Kim Jeong-su of Samyang Foods said, “I hope that participating in this campaign will help form a social consensus and increase interest in children's traffic safety,” adding, “Samyang Foods will also strive to ensure that children can grow up in a safer environment.”
