Lotte Homeshopping delivered 'Health Baekse Package' to 140 elderly living alone households in Yeongdeungpo area in celebration of Parents' Day.
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 6th that it delivered ‘Health Baekse Package’ to 140 elderly living alone households in the Yeongdeungpo area in celebration of Parents' Day.
This event was conducted in a non-face-to-face manner by hanging the Health Baekse Package containing carnations, galbitang (beef rib soup), mixed grains, and other food items at the doorsteps as part of the Hope Suragan activities, a social contribution initiative in the Yeongdeungpo area where Lotte Homeshopping headquarters is located.
Since 2015, Lotte Homeshopping has established the Hope Suragan cooking facility in the annex of Yeongdeungpo District Office and regularly prepares and delivers side dishes every month. To date, a total of 266 sessions and about 45,000 side dishes have been supported. Since last year, food has been delivered in a non-face-to-face manner due to COVID-19.
Additionally, since March last year, various untact win-win activities for local marginalized groups have been carried out, including providing daily necessities kits to vulnerable groups urgently needing infection prevention, learning support packages to children and adolescents struggling with remote classes, and delivering 10,000 masks collected through a mask donation campaign to vulnerable children.
A Lotte Homeshopping official said, “In celebration of Parents' Day, we delivered carnations and food items as part of the Health Baekse Package to wish for the health of lonely elderly living alone in the region and to convey warm hearts. We will continue to carry out meaningful win-win activities for the marginalized neighbors in our society.”
