Korean songstress IU and BEAST's Lee Gi-kwang will lend their voices for the second instalment of the Hollywood animation "Sammy's Adventures," their agencies confirmed on Monday.
The pair will lend their voices for tiny sea turtles--IU dubbing Ella and Lee dubbing Ricky--in Korean for "Sammy's Adventure 2," set to open in 3D in local theaters on August 2.
Helmed by director Ben Stassen, the second part will tell the story of how Ella and Ricky set off to Five Oceans in order to save Sammy and Ray, who are held captive in an aquarium in Dubai.
The imported version of "Sammy's Adventures: The Secret Passage," the first of the animated series opened in December 2010, features Big Bang's Daesung and f(x)'s Sulli each dubbing Shelly and Sammy.
IU, whose real name is Lee Ji-eun, is currently touring around Korea for her nationwide tour "Real Fantasy," which kicked off in Seoul early this month.
Lee, who is one of the vocalist for six-member boy band BEAST, is prepping up with his bandmates to return to the local music scene.
