Korean idol Park Yuchun of boy band JYJ has temporarily halted his shooting for his current SBS TV series.
After receiving the news that his father passed away due to a chronic illness early Wednesday morning, Park has called for interim break from his shooting for the drama "Rooftop Prince"
"For now, Park will not take part in shooting 'Rooftop Prince' due to his father passing away this week," an official with SBS told 10Asia over the phone on Thursday.
The rep explained that they have not received word on when he will return to the set while the other cast members will stay with the regular shooting schedule.
Park received the news the moment he landed in Korea after flying back from JYJ's concert in Chile and Peru on Wednesday morning. He is currently with his family including his mother and younger brother Park Yu-hwan at a hospital in Kangnam, Seoul.
“Rooftop Prince,” which is a 20-part series set to take off on March 21, tells the story of a prince (Park) from the Joseon Dynasty who magically flew 300 years to present time.
