Korean idol CNU of boy band B1A4 will make his acting debut through an upcoming KBS sitcom, according to his agency WM Entertainment on Tuesday.
A press release by WM announced that CNU has been tapped to take on the role of an aspiring singer in KBS' daily sitcom titled "Sent From Heaven" set to make its premiere on February 27.
"Heaven” tells the story of fairies named Wang-mo (played by actress Shim Hye-jin) and Chae-hwa (played by actress Hwang Woo seul-hye) who come down to earth to find their wings but decide to stay and adjust to human life.
The series, helmed by Go Chan-soo and Jung Hum-moon, will also star Cha In-pyo and Woori.
"I am honored for this opportunity to be a part of a sitcom with these great actors and I hope to learn a lot from them," CNU said in the statement.
CNU, whose name is Shin Dong-woo, made his debut in B1A4 (Be the One, All for One) in 2011 with their single "Let's Fly."
The boys are currently preparing to make their comeback with a new album in March.
