MBC romantic series "My Princess," starring Hallyu star Song Seung-heon, will go on air on a public network in Japan starting this week, according to Song's agency Storm S Company on Wednesday.

Storm S announced in a press release that "My Princess," also starring actress Kim Tae-hee, will make its premiere on Fuji TV tonight.

The press release also stated that Song recently visited the country and made appearances on several television programs to promote the show before its run.

He will also take part in the "My Princess Special Concert" which will take place in December.

Just last month, Song was in Taiwan to promote the show along with Kim which attracted thousands of fans to the event.

"My Princess," helmed by producer Kwon Suk-jang of the popular MBC TV series "Pasta," is about how an average free-spirited college student named Lee Seul (Kim) finds out that she is a lost descendant from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.

She learns what it takes to become royalty by taking lessons from Hae-young (Song) and the two soon fall in love.

The series, which aired for two months since early January, posted steady viewership ratings in the 13 to 15 percent range amongst its competitors in the Wednesday and Thursday lineup.
