America's prestigious Billboard chart has launched a K-pop chart and girl group SISTAR has landed the first No. 1 spot on it.
The Korea K-Pop Hot 100 chart ranked the female quartet's "So Cool," from their first studio release of the same name, at first place on the inaugural listing set for the week of September 3.
LeeSSang's "I Turned Off the TV...," the title track to their 7th album "Asura BalBalTa," with featurings by Yoon Mirae and Kwon Jung-yeol of 10cm, followed in second place and girl group 2NE1's "Ugly," from their second mini-album, in third.
Billboard explained on its website that the K-pop chart, launched in conjunction with Billboard Korea, will be based on digital sales via leading websites and downloads from mobile service sites.
The chart will be featured simultaneously on Billboard.com, the international chart section of Billboard.biz, Billboard magazine, and on Billboard Korea's website, billboard.co.kr.
