Famed Korean directors Kim Jee-woon and Yim Pil-sung's new movie has been pre-sold to six countries at this year's Berlin International Film Festival (BIFF). The pic's promoter &Credit said on Thursday that North America's Well-go USA Entertainment, Germany and Benelux's Splendid and Turkey's BIR bought the distribution rights of Kim and Yim's feature film "Doomsday Book" at BIFF's film market last month. The firm also stated that "Doomsday Book" will be presented at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival in May. "Doomsday Book" is an apocalyptic sci-fi thriller that shows three different stories of a human's self-destruction in the high-tech era. It focuses on the hope to restore genuine humanity in the modern society. Starring Ryoo Seung-beom, Kim Kang-woo, Jin Ji-hee and Kim Gyu-ri, "Doomsday Book" will open in local theaters on April 11. ※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
