MBC “My Princess” ascends to No.1 on primetime TV chart

MBC romantic comedy “My Princess” has claimed the No.1 spot on the primetime TV rating chart for Wednesdays and Thursdays followed by SBS medical drama “Sign” and KBS’ “PRESIDENT.” According to data by Total National Media Research (TNmS), “My Princess” scored an average viewership rating of 16.6 percent and on AGB Nielsen Media Research's (AGB) chart, 20.4 percent, both statistics showing about a three percent rise in rating from last week. “My Princess," starring Kim Tae-hee and Song Seung-heon, tells about an ordinary college girl who suddenly finds out that she is the lost descendant of King Soon-jong of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) and gets her fate entangled with a young diplomat who has to help her along the way. SBS series “Sign," took second place with an average viewership rating of 13.4 percent on TNmS’ chart and 15.5 percent on AGB’s survey, both figures slightly down by about one percent from last week. “Sign” is about a genius forensic medical examiner who tries to solve various cases of mysterious death mainly through the means of forensic medicine while standing opposed to the director of the National Forensic Service who tries to use his skills to secure power among high officials. KBS series “PRESIDENT” came last, yielding an average viewership rating of 5.7 percent on TNmS findings and 7.1 percent on AGB’s poll.The show starring Choi Soo-jong, Ha Hee-ra and Jay from idol group Trax depicts on how a president is born through the process of various election campaigns launched by ambitious lawmaker Jang Il-joon (Choi), his family and staff members surrounding him.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
